Bell Menu

Ingredients

o 2 lb filet mignon
o 4 onions
o 1 red bell pepper
o 1 green bell pepper
o 18 cherry tomatoes
o 18 pitted prunes
o 12 oz bacon, thin sliced
o 4 bananas
o lemon juice
o 1 french baguette
o 1/2 butter stick
o salt & pepper
o 2 teaspoons oregano
o 4 crushed garlic gloves
o 1/2 cup olive oil
o pinch crushed red pepper

Instructions

Take out the fat from the meat. Cut it in 2in cubes.

In a bowl, prepare the marinade adding the crushed garlic, crushed red pepper, salt, black pepper, 1 teaspoon of oregano and the olive oil; stir.

Put the filet mignon cubes in the bowl with the marinade and leave it there for 1/2 hour.

Peel the onions and put them in hot water (do not cut them yet!) and let them boiled for 7 minutes. Take them out of the water and cut them in quarters.

Take out the top of the peppers and cut them in half. Take the seeds out and cut them in 2 in strips, then cut each strip in half.

Wash the tomatoes if they are not prewashed.

Wrap each prune with a slice of bacon and set aside.

Peel the bananas and cut them in medium pieces. Wrap each piece with a slice of bacon.

Cut the bread in 1in slices and then cut them again in halves.

Melt the butter and season it with salt, pepper and oregano. Marinate the bread with this.

Fix each skew starting with a piece of marinated bread, then a piece of red bell pepper, result by the green pepper, then a quarter of onion, a piece of meat, a wrapped prune and again a piece of bread, then other piece of meat, onion, red and green peppers, a wrapped banana and a piece of bread. Always start and finish each skew with a piece of bread. Repeat.

Once you have all the brochettes ready, put them on a very hot grill for a few minutes, turning them once. How you like the meat? Rare, medium rare, well done? When they seem ready for you, take them out of the grill and serve. Yum!!!
